Today I attended the FCI Mains question paper for Technical Officer post, my choice of subjects were AGRICULTURE BOTANY AND ZOOLOGY.
Honestly the question was quite tough and was very high level, I met a few colleagues who had the same opinion about toughness of the question paper.
So based on my residual memory of the questions i will give you an idea of the level of questions asked.
Many questions were from core botany and zoology like specific questions no guessing work gonna get you out. And good news for entomologists coz many questions were entomology/pest based.
And I was surprised to find a few economics questions in middle of all these science subjections.. like really..it was a nightmare and no one expected FCI qp to be such high level.
The paper one was quite easy but paper 2 was quite tough.

Lamarck – inheritance of acquired characteristics
Margels – endosymbiont
· Meroistic ovule is not found in ?
· Economics – Types of inflation as match the following and concept of GDP
· Match the following (not sure if answer is correct )
Salt secretion gland - Cicer
Trichome hydathode – Tamaria
Colleters – Aesculux
· Wheat variety most susceptible to pest Sesamia inferens ?
· The pest that can be removed from grains by winnowing and sieving ?
