Crop	Seed Rate (Kg/ha)
Rice (Oryza sativa)	Broadcasting - 100 kg/ha Drilling - 60kg/ha Dapog method - 1.5 -3 Kg/ha Hybrid rice - 15 kg/ha
Wheat (Triticum aestivum)	Normal sowing - 100 kg/ha Broadcasting - 125 kg seeds/ha Dibbling - 25-30 kg seeds/ha
Maize (Zea mays)	Hybrid Maize - 25 kg/ha Kharif Maize crop - 15-20 kg/ha
Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor)	Normal - 8-10 kg/ha
Sugarcane (Saccarum officinarum)	usually in 3 bud stage 35,000 -40,000 setts/ha
Chick-Pea (Cicer arietinum)	80-100 kg /ha
Pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan)	12-15 kg/ha
Cotton (Gossypium sp.)	Hybrid cotton - 2-3kg/ha- Bt cotton- 1-1.5kg/ha
