A total of 4702 aphid species have been identified in the world, out of this around 653 species are found in India. Aphids are phloem feeders they cause direct leaf crumpling and leaves curl downwards after severe infestation.

- Aphids transmit majorly in a Non persistent manner, but in a few cases it spreads persistently and also semi persistent.
