Many exotic pests and diseases have been introduced into the country since time immemorial before which quarantine of any sort existed. However a strict quarantine regime is in place today to prevent against the inadvertent entry of any plant pest or pathogen into the country for which the DPPQS headquartered in faridabad is the nodal agency.
