1.  Insecta - Ragumoorthy, Balasubramaniam- Basic entomology text of TNAU
2. Insecta 2 or applied entomology by same authors for TNAU
3. You can also opt to read ANGRAU notes  for basic entomology course( NB: if the basic courses were taught wel or iv you are proficient then you just need to glance through either of the above texts)
4. Elements of economic entomology by B. V. David - This is an excellent book, that induces interest and covers almost all concepts in applied entomology. The book begins with a chapter on beneficial insects wherein anyone can imbibe positive interest in entomology. The  chapter on pests of crop plants is inevitable. You can make short notes as you read by.
5. Applied entomology by D. S Reddy- A gem of its kind, one of my favourite refresher. Covers almost all concepts in simple yet authentic manner. My suggestion is that you should read it as many times as possible. 
6. Objective entomology - T. V. Prasad. Guys if you think you have read enough then make sure to jog through the questions in this book. i need to admit that Dr. Prasad has painstakingly created such a beautiful collection of questions systematically arranged in chapters that captures your interest
7. There is an important part inat as long as entomology ie, namatology. You shouldn't take much worry regarding this as long as you have read the book Introductory plant nematology by Bajaj and Walia 

These are must read books for any entomology aspirants, Apart from these you can also go further by reading some advanced stuff like Chapmans text -Insects structure and function or Outlines of entomology. the subject is open and there is no limit. you can roam with any number of books. Be sure to have yur basic concepts tight and right.
